A glucose foundation model with 720,000 parameters

Google Research has published GlucoFM, a self-supervised model for continuous glucose monitoring. A dual-stream architecture, 109,066 hours of unlabelled traces, and a comparison in which the smallest model of the set beats the one with 135 million parameters.
A two-panel diagram. On the left a dendritic cell presents a neoantigen on MHC class I to a CD8+ T cell, with TCR, CD8, CD28 and CD80/86 receptors labelled. On the right the CD8+ T cell kills a tumour cell by releasing perforin and granzyme B, with the FasL-Fas axis and the cytokines IFN-gamma and TNF-alpha. Healthcare AI

A library card catalogue: dozens of grey metal drawers with handles, each labelled with the alphabetical range it holds — CATAN-CENER, DAY-DELI, FORST-FRANCI. Three drawers stand open, showing the card slips lined up inside. Open Source

OISG

Open, Intelligent, Secure, Governed paradigm for autonomous AI systems.

Thoughts

AI agents are becoming autonomous actors inside software systems.

Current software architectures were not designed to control, monitor, or govern autonomous AI behavior.

Without new architectural layers, AI systems will introduce significant risks in security, accountability, and reliability — especially in critical domains.

My work focuses on designing secure and governable AI systems for healthcare and enterprise environments.
